The trail around Søndersø - start from Ballerupvej
There is a 5 km landscaped trail around Søndersø. The majority of the trail is paved with an even gravel surface with a few shorter sections with less even gravel. The coating is good most of the year, but naturally a little soft during wet periods. There are benches along the trail, but you should expect to walk 500-800 m between some of the benches. There is a bird watching tower on the side of the lake facing the former Værløse airport now recreational area. You can swim in Søndersø and on the side along with the residential properties there is a bathing jetty with a staircase down into the water. There are no toilet facilities along the route.
