Nordborg Resort - succesful focus on access for all

Nordborg Resort is a large holiday park located on the island of Als, just over 20 km from Sønderborg. The holiday park opened in the summer of 2025 and consists of 442 holiday apartments on one level, nestled in the beautiful natural landscape down to the Little Belt. The holiday homes are grouped in several smaller clusters, from where you can walk, cycle, drive a golf cart, scooter, etc. around to the many activity options in the park. The park is therefore car-free except for the roads that must be used to and from the parking areas.

Accessibility and equal access have been central to the planning of the resort. Both the homes, the outdoor areas and the activity offers, including the water park, are designed based on the idea that everyone should be able to participate. The architecture and design are extremely successful and create participation and comfort for everyone - both with and without a disability.
