Stenbjerg informationshus
The Thy National Park information house is located in Stenbjerg Landingsplads in one of the picturesque equipment houses that were built by fishermen at the beginning of the 20th century and lovingly restored in 2000. The unique cultural landscape has been preserved and Stenbjerg Landingsplads is worth a visit. In the information house you can learn more about the nature of the region, ask questions or get inspiration for your activities in the national park. The Information House is the first white house on the right when you reach Stenbjerg Landingsplads. There is a parking area (asphalt) in front of the houses, but no disabled parking space. Depending on the season and the weather, it should be expected that there may be sand in the parking area and the road to the information house. There are two doors to the information house. The front door has a passage width of 60 cm, but the staff can open the second door, which has a passage width of 75 cm and a short ramp in front of the door, which gives level-free access to the information house and the small exhibition. The house is staffed by volunteers during the summer months. There are public toilets opposite the information center, but they are not furnished so that they can meet the criteria for an accessible toilet.
