Bigum Søbad - a recreational area at Lake Tjele
"Bigum Søbad" is situated at the shore of Lake Tjele. You will find 2 parking spaces for disabled, an open lunch house, a seating area with tables and benches, access to the lake via a wooden jetty and an accessible toilet with sink and shower. The accessiblity is very good. It is easy to get to the pier and along the path you will find benches for a rest. The stairs into the water have a handrail on one side and the stairs go down to the bottom (water depth about 70-80 cm). However, there is no ramp into the water or lift to and from the water. You can drive in the water from the beach if you bring your own equipment. If you have a dog with you, be aware of the metal grate located just before the bridge. It is a type where dog claws can get stuck. You should therefore guide your dog around the grate.
